A few new friends and i headed down to NYC’s Soho on a Sunday night for some food and drinks. We headed towards Bar 89, a swanky little cocktail bar/trendy art gallery-esque joint on 89 Mercer Street.
Walking in, it looked like a regular classic restaurant bar. Upon closer inspection, the loft area actually resembles a quintessential New York art gallery, with contemporary art pieces and installation lining the walls and ceilings.
The coolest thing about this hip joint? The see through glass bathroom doors upstairs which instantly fog up as you lock it.
I had an amazing cajun chicken salad, with feta cheese crumbled to perfection on a bed of rocket and mixed leaves, drizzled with honey mustard dressing.
I also sampled Bar 89’s famous ‘Cocotini’-a milky coconut infused liquer mix, custom made, hand shaken and chilled to perfection.
