Next stop? The Le Meridien Khao Lak. A cosy little hotel, less fancy and upscale than the JW Marriott. The hotel’s design was more traditional and old fashioned, with a classic airy reception lounge overlooking the collection of pools. Unfortunetly, the weather was windy and rainy when we arrived, making it impossible to swim at the beach or pool. Despite its simplicity in design, service was very good.
What really stood out at the Le Meridien was its entertainment. We set out for the Bamboo Bar and Seafood Grill, located right on the shores of the Andaman Sea. An open concept restaurant, dinner consisted of freshly grilled seafood, grilled on the spot, a selection of Italian canapés,a western style salad bar, an Italian pasta station where you can choose your own DIY pasta dish, and of course, an amazing selection of both Thai and Western styled deserts.
